The wooden candle holders are produced by segments of thick boards, logs, and branches. The piece of wood is roughened into a cylindrical shape in the lathe by turning longitudinally and creating a grip for the spindle on one side. At this point, the piece is removed and fixed to the lathe by tightening the side with the chuck jaws. In this, with the piece fixed to the lathe on one side only, it is possible to hollow the head of the wood cylinder.
The piece is then turned, continuing to design the profile and creating the housing of the candle into the head of the right diameter and depth.
Once the profile is terminated, the piece is finished by smoothing it and applying the finish, then the base is cut with a chisel or chisel.
The turning of a candle holder is reasonably simple but gives the possibility to create unlimited shapes and great flexibility in the use of varieties and cuts of wood.
