Wood turned handicraft objects, creative wood workshop.
Legnochegira is the presentation of my works, my name is Icio Marchesini, I live between Padua and Conegliano. I abandoned some time ago my job in the oil and gas industry to be able to devote myself to the passion I have been always cultivating: wood. Now I work for the sake of creating new and different objects, I like to create elements that have a utility but also an original shape and highlight the natural beauty of wood.

Woodturning
Woodturning is an art that fascinates, the turning techniques are many but the final results are infinite. The work at the lathe allows you to express creativity. Wood with its grain and colors is already a natural work of art, the turner enhances its beauty.
Woodturning requires experience, commitment, and patience. Repeating the same objects represent a process in which I am not interested, trying new turning techniques is instead a satisfying occupation but not without obstacles and tests before mastering it.
The smell of wood, the wood shavings spread on the floor, the impatience to see the piece take shape, mastering new techniques, the pleasure of holding the finished object in my hand is what I call passion.

Our works on the wood lathe are produced by hand individually trying to obtain a creative production that furnishes for the beauty of the wood and the shape. The wood turning is carried out in a small workshop in Veneto, in Conegliano, all the objects are handcrafted and each piece is produced individually. Differences in shape, proportions and in the wood of the turned pieces present a broad choice that can satisfy personal preferences.
